ComfyRemote — built it for myself, then realized everyone needs one.

THE PROBLEM

I was generating AI art for a print-on-demand business — Redbubble, Society6, Etsy. Every step was manual: prompt, generate, review, edit, upscale, color correct, watermark, upload. Hours of click-work per design. Not scalable.

THE BUILD

ComfyRemote is a Flask / SocketIO / SQLite application running an 8-stage AI pipeline end-to-end. Every stage has its own database state, error handling, and review checkpoints. Daemon-driven — set it running and walk away.

I've spent nearly two decades in workflow-heavy roles: 17 years in mortgage loss mitigation across Lehman/Aurora, Rushmore, Mr. Cooper, and Rocket Mortgage, and two years before that running internet sales at a Long Beach Toyota dealership — back when "internet sales" was a new department dealerships hadn't yet figured out.

The common thread: navigating complex software stacks under deadline pressure to get specific outcomes. That work taught me something most "AI consultants" miss: workflow problems are rarely software problems. They're architecture problems. Companies stack tools on top of tools and expect integration to happen by accident. It doesn't.

When I got laid off in 2025, I built ComfyRemote — a production AI image generation and quality-control pipeline that runs end-to-end without manual intervention. Eight pipeline stages, multiple AI models, error recovery, fully automated. Heck, I even made a logo.
